Saints Paul and Anthony Cycle
Saint Paul’s Soul is Transported to Heaven, Folio 193r
The text notes that Anthony saw angels bearing the soul of Paul, and then saw that the body of Paul, even in death, remained kneeling in prayer in his hermitage. Although Anthony’s figure is fully averted, his astonishment is visible in his raised hand.
