Jane Hayward, 1993

Jane wears a crown of Hemerocallis fulva, the common or tawny daylily widely naturalized along roadsides and old house sites in the United States. H. fulva is one of the parents of the many thousands of named cultivars now available to gardeners. The daylily was introduced to Europe from China at the close of the Middle Ages.
