Dear Joe,

Thank you for your kind notice and the words of encouragement. I enjoyed re-visiting the Gardens of Colonial Williamsburg featured on Notes from Juniper Hill. It has been a good few years since I had the pleasure of attending a garden symposium there, and I am pleased to hear that Laura Viancour still oversees the garden programming. As you may know, John D. Rockefeller Jr. endowed both Colonial Williamsburg, which opened to the public in 1934, and The Cloisters, which opened in 1938.

I just discovered your wonderful blog and have been spending hours here roaming around. What a delight! Posts of just the right length and everything so well researched and sourced. How refreshing! I have also featured it on our own blog, Notes from Juniper Hill, and hope that more of our readers will discover The Medieval Garden Enclosed. Keep up the good work!
